Revelation 22:11-12  He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

1 John 5:11-12 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. John 3:18-19 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting  life.

PREPARE FOR THE COMING OF THE LORD

John 14:1-3   Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Revelation 22:12-13   And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

The greatest event that will ever happen on this earth will be the coming of the lord Jesus Christ. This is because it is going to be the end of time and the ushering in of the Saints of God into a blissful eternity. It is also going to be a time of tribulation, anguish and doom for unrepentant sinners (Rm. 2:6-11). But it is surprising that just as many unbelievers does not believe that Jesus is, coming again, many Christians are not even -prepared for His coming.

Yet his coming is SURE and will surprise many, for at such an hour you (believer and unbeliever) do not expect the Son of man cometh (Matt. 24:44).

The scripture does not leave us in dark as regards the certainty of Christ's second coming. The Lord Himself spoke of his return several times. In John 14:1-3 we read "Let not your hearts be troubled, ye believe in God, believe also in me.

In my father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you will COME AGAIN and receive you unto myself; that where I am there ye may be also. Daniel, in the old testament, in one of his visions saw this and wrote “I saw In the Night Visions, and behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven (Dan 7:13). Paul wrote “keep this commandment without spot, unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ (I Tim. 6:14). And from the mouth of angels present at his ascension we hear these words "And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold two men stood by them in white apparel, which also said, ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus which is taken up from you into heaven shall so COME in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven (Acts 1:10-11) surely "he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him and all kindred’s of the Earth shall wail because of him. Even so Amen." (Rev. 1 :7)

When we go through Matthew 24 and 25 the signs of his coming are clearly written Jesus himself said there would be deceptions, false Christ, wars and, rumours of wars, famines pestilences, earthquakes, offences, betrayals, hatred, false prophet; lawlessness and killing of the believers (Martyrdom). There has been no other times that these signs are more pronounced as now. For example false Christ’s, false prophets and deceptions (419) abound everywhere. And you may want to know that earthquakes really got started in about 1917. In 1917 the scientists carried in the first seismographic h machines into the high). Andes mountains of Peru. The first year, they registered one earthquake anywhere in the world. The next year they recorded two, the third year they registered In 7 earthquakes in different parts of the world, the following year 14, and from then on earthquakes have multiplied at such a rate, and in most unlikely places. I was a living I witness to the minor quaking in Ijebu-ode Ogun state in 1994. And just in January 2001 the It Earthquake that hit India claimed about 30,000 lives! Until today the scientists say the earth is in constant quaking, somewhere! And if the it (earth keeps up the vibration she is having now, they fear it will shake itself apart. But this will not really happen for it is just the signs of the coming of the Lord. Hell is just enlarging itself to make room for all the sinners (outside and inside the church) that are dying and going there, and this is one of the causes (Isaiah 5:11-  16, I Corinth. 6:9-10). Surely Christ shall appear the second time and that very soon. Are you ready?

At his coming there shall be a separation, the wheat   shall be separated from the chaff, the sheep from the goats, the faithful, from the hypocrite.  Matthew 25: 31-46 says “when the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory; and before him shall be gathered all nations; and he shall separate them one from the another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:  and he shall set the sheep on the right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the king say unto them on his right hand, come ye blessed of my father, inherit the kingdom, prepared for you from the foundation  of the world…… then  shall he say also unto , them on the left hand, depart from me ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels ............ and these shall go away into everlasting punishment; but the righteous into life eternal". Where shall you really appear?

Everyone is called to prepare for this great event. God told prophet Habakuk, "write the vision and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it" (Habak. 2:2). To be ready, we must follow that which is written in the unfailing and unchanging word of God. We must abide by what the scriptures say implicitly. And that is:- REPENTANCE:

Repentance is a very common word in the mouth of many these days. Whereas some take that word "REPENT" serious others make a mockery of it, yet the eternal “destiny of man could be said to depend on what we do with it. Jesus put it  clear. He said "unless you repent ye shall all likewise perish" (Lk. 13:3). In the book of Isaiah and Revelation, we read "Behold the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light; the sun shall be darkened in his going forth and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. And I will PUNISH THE WORLD for their Evil and the WICKED for their INIQUITY; and I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.... " because they "repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood; which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither REPENTED they of their murders, nor of their sorceries,  nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. (Isaiah 13:9911; Rev. 9:20-21.)

We begin to see here the necessity of repentance and what we should repent from- sins.

Yes, we have to repent from our SINS.

In the word of God, we read from the book of Genesis, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth, and God made man in his own image, male and female .... and put them in the garden of Eden ... and commanded them saying, of every tree of the garden you may freely eat, but of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it for in the day that you eat of it, you shall surely die, ... but one day the woman took the fruit and ate, she also gave her husband and he ate too.. S0 the two disobeyed the law of their God, i.e sinned. (Genesis chapters 1, 2 and 3).

This disobedience (sin) brought many punishments and judgments’ upon them. They died spiritually, became sinful in nature and physical death, sickness and sufferings came on the mortal body. All these passed on his descendants (which the whole world are). When man is born, he is born a sinner by nature and this leads him to become a sinner by practice. There is no righteousness in him at all until he is regenerated, converted and born by the Holy Spirit of God and this does not happen until man truly turns away from sin unto God. This is what repentance is TURNING FROM SIN AND TURNING UNTO GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. It is a change of mind towards sin, leaving sin alone and not going back to them again.

A real change of attitude towards it. That is gospel repentance. When this is done God forgives us all our sins and cleanses us with the blood of Jesus. We obtain the life that is found in Christ (eternal life). One also receives a new nature... A divine nature from God which will enable him to live and do righteousness and be a temple for the Holy Spirit to dwell in . This is the SEAL we are the sons and daughters of God and belong to Christ (Eph. l 1: 13; 4:30). This is the first preparation for His coming.

Many people used to wander why God did not take them away after they have repented; they wonder why God should still leave them in this wicked world in the environment of sin. The reason is this … that you might glorify Him in your body and your spirit through holy living … walking as Jesus walked. Unfortunately holiness is relegated to the background in the life of many Christians and most Pastors rarely mention of it from the pulpit. Yet, it n remains a condition for us to enter Heaven. I am saying, these ones may lose at last. I read a testimony about a man of God and I will share it with, you. There is this Pastor.  He believes in holiness and preaches it to his congregation without compromise, but every weekend there is a sister from his church that always slept with him. This continued for some while. One day as the Pastor was serving Holy Communion in the church,  a voice spoke to him and said "Pastor if you do not repent, you will go to hell fire". He looked round and saw nobody. He continued to serve the communion. The voice called to him again "Pastor if you don’t repent you will go to hell fire". You see, God is no respecter of persons. No matter whom we are, if we live in sin after we have come to the knowledge of the truth, we will go to hell (Heb. 10:26-27; I Corinth. 9:27

How are you living your life? In holiness and righteousness? Do you still say it doesn't matter? God says "be ye HOLY, for I AM HOLY (I Pet. 1:15) and again "follow peace with all men and HOLINESS without which ~ no man shall see-the Lord I (Heb. 12:14). Luke 1:74475 says "that he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies· might serve him without fear, IN HOLINESS and RIGHTEOUSNESS I before him, all the days of I our life". Brethren, let us I separate ourselves from i every form of sin for a little leaven, the Bible says, leavens the whole lump. Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit perfecting holiness in the fear of God, for Christ shall appear the second time WITHOUT SIN unto salvation unto them that look for him and everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself even as he is pure (II Corinth. 7: 1; Heb. 9:28; I John 3:3). The whole purpose of Christ's death and resurrection was to provide the power for us to be partakers of His Divine Nature, live in VICTORY over all sin all the days of our lives and be like Him. This is VICTORY, real VICTORY that will carry us through time into eternity. I pray you have it in Jesus name.

If you wish to give your life to Jesus sincerely pray this prayer from the depth of your heart. Lord I know that I am a sinner, lost in the world, without hope. Today I acknowledge that Jesus Christ died for my sins. Lord, forgive me, cleanse me, purify me with the blood of Jesus now as I confess my sins (Confess your sins) in Jesus name. Amen.
