Revelation 22:11-12  He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

THE GOOD NEWS

1 John 5:11-12 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. John 3:18-19 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting  life.

HOW JESUS CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE

Matthew 11:28   Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Life is not a bed of roses. This is a popular saying. The Bible – the word of God - puts it this  way "A man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of TROUBLE". Again "Yet man is born unto trouble as the sparks fly upwards (Job 14:1. Job 5:7). By experience and observation we have come to the full realization of these facts. In the world we have tribulation - the rich, the poor, the black, the "white", the illiterate, the literate. The fear of death, where we go after that, the fear of tomorrow, sickness, disease, accidents, man's inhumanity to man etc are the continual heartache of the natural man. For this reason many have denied the existence of God and some see Him as not being the God of LOVE which he actually is. The fact remains that God made everything perfect from the beginning. Everything was very good (Gen. 1:31, Eccl. 7:29). But by Satan through Adam disturbances entered the world through sin and thus all the trouble; for the thief (Satan) cometh not, but for to steal and to kill, and to destroy (John 10: 10). Nevertheless when the fullness of time came God miraculously intervened in the person of our LORD JESUS CHRIST to nullify that disturbance (Gal. 4:4, 5: I Tim. 3:16, I Jn. 3:8) Now Jesus can change our lives for good, for better and for the best. HOW?

(l)... THY SINS BE FORGIVEN THEE

We read - Mark 2:1-5

* And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and if was noised that he was in the house. V2 and straight way many were gathered together; in so much that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them. V3 and they come unto him bringing one sick to the Palsy, which was borne of four V4 and when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. V5 When Jesus saw their faith; he said unto the sick of the palsy, son thy sins are forgiven thee.

The above passage describes a man - a man who was paralytic (suffering from severe stroke). His body has refused to function. In other words his body was on strike. When he wants to use his hands, his hands will say no; he wants to use his legs, the legs, say no. The friends of the man, four of them, heard of Jesus and to show good neighborliness. (Lk. 10:25-37) carried him to Jesus. But when Jesus saw the paralytic, before he could say. "Arise, and take up thy bed; and go thy way", he said to him "Son thy sins be forgiven thee". The people were astonished. To them Jesus was speaking blasphemies, for who can forgive sins but God only. But Jesus replied "That you may know that the son of man has AUTHORITY on earth to forgive sins.

In John 8:1-11, a woman who was caught in adultery was brought to Jesus. The people were about to stone her to death in accordance with the Law of Moses (Lev. 20: 10, Deut. 22:22). In his wisdom Jesus dismissed the crowd and said to her "I condemn you not (i.e. I forgive you,) but go and sin no more. He has power on earth to forgive SINS!

Before he went to the cross and died for our sins (I Corinth 15:3) he took a cup, gave thanks and offered it saying "Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of your sins (Matt. 26:27-28). He shed his blood for the forgiveness of your sins. (Heb. 9:22b).

While still in the womb an angel revealed Jesus to Joseph thus “And she (Mary) shall bring forth a son and thou shall call his name Jesus for he shall save the people from their sins (Matt. 1:21). In Acts 13:38, Peter proclaimed “Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins. Sin is the root cause of every problem. Are your sins forgiven you? Are you cleansed? Are you washed with his blood? Has the LORD transformed your life of sin unto righteousness? He can do that today.

(2)… BEHOLD I GIVE UNTO YOU POWER.

Luke 10: 19 reads

*"Behold I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you"

All power in Heaven  and on earth belongs to Jesus (Matt. 28:18). The father has committed everything into his hands (John 3:35). Power to make wealth (Deut. 8: 18), Power to rule (Dan. 4:32), Power to conquer your enemy (Lk. 10:19), Power to move mountains (problems) etc.

He gives to whom he wills and to all that come to him (John I: 12). Enough of struggling, enough of gambling and complaining about the devil, demons, witches, wizards, this and that. Stop looking for power where there is NONE. Your life can be transformed by the LORD. He says "Behold I give unto you power.

(iii)... IN ME YE HAVE, PEACE - JOHN 16:33,

Ever since the fall of man, it has been tribulations the world over. Wars, disasters, ruin, worry, fear are common portions of the earth man. No peace in the heart, in the home and in the nations. The world has been searching for peace. But hundreds of years before the birth of Christ; Isaiah the prophet prophesied of Him, *"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called wonderful, counselor, the mighty God. The everlasting Father: THE; PRINCE OF PEACE (Is. 9:6) When he was born; The angels declared; "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth PEACE, good will toward men. Jesus himself said "in me ye have peace, and again "My peace I give unto you (In. 14:27) Peace cannot be found in drugs, money, parties, clubs, in the occults but in Jesus the Christ.

You can have peace, in your life, you can receive peace in your heart, and you can have peace in your family. But there shall no peace be for the wicked (Is. 57:21). Christ must rule in our lives. If we are to have peace we must surrender to him. The scripture says "Therefore being justified by faith, we have PEACE with God through our LORD JESUS CHRIST (Rm. 5: I)

(vi) … GIVE THEM TO EAT

We read in Mark 6:32-44

And they departed into a desert place by ship privately. vs. 33 And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of the cities, and out went them, and came together unto him. vs. 34 And Jesus when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a Shepherd: and he began to teach them many things V 35. And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him and said, this is a desert place and now the time is far passed! V 36 send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat. V 37. He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, shall we go and buy two hundred penny worth of bread and give them eat? Vs 38 He said unto them. How many loaves have ye? Go and see. And when they know they said five and two fishes. Vs 39. And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass. V s 40. And they sat down in ranks, by  hundreds and by fifties. Vs 41a and when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all, Vs 42. And they did EAT, and were FILLED.

Jesus is the great provider, the all sufficient God. He gives  food to the hungry (Ex. ' 16:4, 11, 13). He is our Shepherd Ps. 23) the good Shepherd, the great Shepherd (Jn. 10: 11, Heb. 13:20, I Pt. 5:4) and we shall not want. "Come unto me, he says, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest (matt. 11:28).

Hear him again, "hearken diligently and obey me and I will bless the work of your hands, I will set you on high, J will bless you in the city, I will bless you in the field, ... Blessed shall you be when you come in. and blessed shall you be when you go out (Deut. 28:1-]5); For riches and honour are with me enduring wealth and prosperity (Prov. 8: 18) and you will always have abundance (2 Corinth. 9:5)

….I AM THE LORD That healeth thee.

Satan brought sin, sicknesses and diseases upon the earth. But it is the will of God that we prosper and be in health (3 Jn 2), thus it is written I am the LORD that HEALETH THEE (Ex. I5: 26). Healing is part of the salvation which Jesus brought through the cross. In the person of our Lord Jesus Christ, God bore our sickness and carried our sorrows: with his stripes we are healed (Is.53:4-5) Christ came not only to save us from sin but to heal us from all manner of sickness and diseases. To destroy totally all works of Satan in our lives (1 In. 3:8). In Matt. 4:17, 23, we read: From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand Vs. 23. And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sicknesses and all manner of diseases among the people. Vs 24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought to him all sick people that were taken with diverse DISEASES AND TORMENTS, and those who are possessed DEVILS and those which were lunatic and those that has the palsy; and he HEALED them. Christ does not change, he says l am the Lord I changeth not (Mal 3:6)

Today, Christ Jesus can heal you (of tuberculosis, Aids, barrenness. stroke or whatever the devil might call it). The doctors may say it is incurable, but it is curable in Jesus name! Just draw near to Him. In Luke 8: 41-44, we read *··And. behold there came a man named Jairus and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus feet, and besought him that he would come into his house Vs 42 For he had one only daughter about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him. Vs 43 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years which had spent all her living upon physicians (Doctors) neither could be healed of any, Vs 44 came behind him and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood ceased. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb. 13:8) God has given him a name that is above every name (of sicknesses and disease and all infirmities) that at the name of Jesus, every knee (of sickness and diseases) should bow. (Phil. 2:9-11) Healing is the children's bread (Matt. 15:26).

GIVE HIM ROOM

It's unfortunate that when Jesus was to be born on Earth there was no room for him in the INN (A Public HOTEL). When He grew up there was nowhere for the son of man to lay his head (Lk. 2:7; 9:58). He came to his own home but his own people received him not (Jn. 1:11). Christ has been suffering rejection by men. No room for the MASTER, yet he is the one that has all the money, all the Power, all the Peace, all the healing, all the deliverance and indeed, everything that we need in life! Do you want a change? Then you must give him room. Hear him "Behold I stand at the door and knock... if any man hears my voice, and open the door, I will come into him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Rev. 3:10) As many as receive him to them give he the POWER. He that has the son (of God) has life! For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish (waste away in sin, powerlessness, worry, lack, sickness, diseases and infirmities) but have abundant, everlasting life (Jn. I: 12,  1Jn 5:12, Jn.3:16, Jn.1O:1O). Believe, receive him. Bow your head, confess your sins to him now. Call upon him while he is near, for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (from whatever troubles) · Is.55:6. Rm.10:13. Oh! What a friend we have in JESUS. Let's sing the hymn!

1.                   What a friend we have in Jesus

All our sins grief to bear

What a privilege to carry

Everything to God in prayer!

O what peace we often forfeit

O what needless pain we hear

All because we do not carry

Everything to God in prayer!

2.       Have we trials and temptations

Is there trouble anywhere?

We should never he discouraged

Take it to the Lord in prayer

3.       Can we find a friend so faithful?

Who will all our sorrows bear

Jesus knows our every weakness

Take it to the Lord in prayer.

4.        Are we weak and heavy laden,

Cumbered with a load of care

Precious Saviour, still our refuge

Take it to the Lord in prayer

5.       Do thy friends despise, forsake thee

Take it to the Lord in prayer

In His arms He'll guide and shield thee

And thou shall find a solace there
