Revelation 22:11-12  He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

1 John 5:11-12 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. John 3:18-19 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting  life.

Essence of tears…

Many time we shed tears. Some shed the tears of pain, some it is the tears of anguish, some it is tears of hopelessness. Some other people shed what can be called manipulating tears to manipulate the situation. Quite a few shed tears of joy, for some of us we have seen people shed tears of repentance and appreciation. In 2 kings 20 vs 5, we all know the story of how Hezekiah was sick and the Lord sent His prophet to him that the sickness will lead to his death and Hezekiah began to pray. What are things Hezekiah was saying? He must have said ‘Lord You know the things I have done for You. Lord you know what I have sacrificed for Your kingdom; You know what other people do not know that I have done for the sake of the Gospel’. And he went on and on. In between that he began to cry, ‘Lord do not do this’ and the Lord said I will answer your prayer Hezekiah, I will heal you and fifteen more years were added to the life of Hezekiah. Those that have studied the life of Hezekiah will know that those years were wasteful years. Be careful the kind of tear you shed onto God because had God not answered Hezekiah it would have been better and he would have received much more crown. What were the bases for Hezekiah asking God to extend the number of his days on earth? But the bible records that Hezekiah recounts the things he has done. Whatever you have done in the past is past, if God has granted you the grace to live today there is a greater expectation from you. There is something new, something fresh He is expecting from you.

Psalm 42v3 says my tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, why is my God?’ Are you in a situation that is making mockery of Jehovah? Are you in a situation that is asking God when will you wipe this tears away, God when will you take this pain away from me? The Psalmist was saying they are not mocking me but mocking You o Lord. Psalm 116vs8, For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. This year death will not capture your soul and the soul of your loved ones in Jesus’ name. Malachi 2vs13 And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the lord with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand’. This is covering the altar of Lord with weeping, many of the time is the tears of hypocrisy that is why quite a number of people mistake a lot of things when they come and give a lot gift expecting material things, you do not a lot thing in the physical and believe the those things you are doing to cage God, But is more interested in your soul than any other things. When this becomes our anchor then we will appreciate them. However for those us in Christ serving Him yet things are not yet working well be encouraged. why? Because is a Rewarder of them that diligently seek Him and He will reward you.

However the ultimate tears that the Almighty God expects from us can be seen from the story in Luke 7 v 36-46, one of the Pharisee that invited Jesus to come and dine with him, and he went in and sat down to eat. Behold a woman in the city the Bible said she was a sinner, and when she knew Jesus was eating at Pharisees house, she brought her box alabaster oil, knelt down weeping and she began to wash his feet with tears from her eyes and she mop them with the only towel she had, which was the towel of her hair and the Bible says she kissed Jesus’ feet and anointed them with ointment. The same Pharisee that invited Jesus saw this, spoke within himself ‘I’m sure this man is not a true prophet’. For the Pharisee thought he made an investment so he will get a reward of a prophet. As he saw what going on he was thought he had made a mistake, he started to calculate his loss, thinking if Jesus was a true prophet he should have know the woman is a prostitute.

One thing you should understand when you begin to do things others are not doing, when you  worship God the way other people do not; they will want to cut you down. They will call you all kinds of names; they will want to block your testimony. Jesus answered and said in verse 40 I have something to say to you Simon , and Jesus told him a parable of creditor that has debtors one owing him 5 pennies and the other 50 pennies and when they did nothing to pay , he frankly forgave both of them and tell therefore which of them will love me most, and Simon answered him, I suppose he to whom he forgave most and Jesus said you have rightly answered. In verse 46 Jesus said you did not anoint my head with oil but the woman has anointed my feet with ointment wherefore I said unto thee her sin which are many for she love much but to whom little is forgiven the same love little. I prophesy over you and your loved ones this year, you shall not shed tears of sorrow in the Name of Jesus. Amen
